 Cherry Lane Miniatures
Cherrylane Miniatures was established in 2002. We are based 45 minutes from Christchurch in North Canterbury in the picturesque town of Oxford. I have always ridden and had horses in my life but after purchasing my first miniature gelding in 2000 as a pet I quickly become hooked on these fascinating little horses and soon gave up riding to increase my miniature numbers.
The saying “Miniatures are just like potato chips” - and you can never stop at one! Is so very true! And well known by all miniature horse owners. It has been a huge learning curve over the years to learn as much as I possible can about these beautiful wee horses and find the qualities that are most desired with in the breed.So I have made it my goal to find the best stock possible that suited my breeding programme and that worked along side my passion for the Overo Patten.
Many of my horses are LWO + or Overo breed and along with that they exhibit striking colours, conformation and beautiful natures that not only make them suitable as show horses but also as wonderful family members.
I have also incorporated some of the worlds most well known bloodlines such as Orion Monarch ,Bond , Rowdy , Abracadabra , Vant Huttenest , Falabella , Banshee, LTD’s and have stock sired by Amazing Overo stallions like Glenrowan Heights Winning Streak Mark's Lucky Streak and LTD’s all American Twister all of these stallion have made a huge impact in NZ not only in the show ring but by hugely improving the quality of NZ Overo breed horses exhibiting the stunning Overo pattern and making them more widely available for all to enjoy.
